ABOUT ME, & MY FITNESS JOURNEY

Fitness and health has always played a big role in my life, even at a young age. I started participating in organized sports at age 10, and in high school I made sure my year was full of fitness and health courses.

 

I continued playing sports in high school and took a placement at the Kingston YMCA in the fitness centre. After graduating high school I continued on to Loyalist College where I attended the Fitness and Health Promotion program.

 

I completed 3 years, with 2 diplomas, honorary marks, and was eager to start in the fitness industry. A year later I started at a private personal training studio in Kingston called Focus Personal Fitness. For 7 years I had the wonderful experience to prescribe exercise programs to a wide variety of clients and groups.

 

I started Beleza Fitness in 2014 and I have had the pleasure to be able to work with clients from ages 15-80 with all types of goals, injuries and ambitions.

WHY DID I START THE BELEZA PROGRAM?

Personal training is my passion, and I felt that it was time to bring it home to my roots!

Native to Battersea Ontario, I wanted to create a way to bring fitness and health to the smaller communities just outside of Kingston. 

​

The Beleza Fitness program offers a location that is easily accessible to the communities in the South Frontenac Township and offers different types of programs to cater to a variety of interest groups. I wanted the Beleza Fitness program to provide a venue for people to experience the ability to enjoy a healthy active lifestyle while receiving the benefits of a personalized program from a personal trainer. 

 

My goal is to lead people towards the beauty in the journey of reaching their goals, and making it an enjoyable part of life, rather than a chore. 

BELIEFS AND INSPIRATIONS

I enjoy the concepts of functional training the most, which concentrates on increasing mobility, and moving the body in ways that counteract regular daily movements that may make the body sore or tight.

​

 I love to cook, and enjoy sharing my food journey with recipes that are easy to prepare and taste good. There is no set meal plan for your life. You need to find what works for your body, family and lifestyle through experience! You need to create YOUR own journey, and I am along the ride with you.

​

​I believe in having fun, working hard, and inspiring others. This is also why I have created the Beleza Program in small groups. Each person will experience the benefits of having a personal trainer, but with the enjoyment and company of a group of people that share the same interest.
